Cancellation and Makeup Lesson Policy
At Horus Academy, we are committed to providing the best musical education experience for our students. To maintain a consistent and organized schedule for both our instructors and students, we have established the following attendance and cancellation policy:
1. Cancellation with 24 Hours Notice:
Students are allowed to cancel a lesson with at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled lesson time.
If a cancellation is made with 24 hours' notice, the student is eligible for a makeup lesson.
2. Late Cancellation (Less than 24 Hours Notice):
If a student cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice before the scheduled lesson time, the student is fully responsible for the lesson bill. No makeup lesson will be provided.
3. Monthly Cancellation Allowance:
Each student is allowed one cancellation per calendar month.
This cancellation must be made with a notice that exceeds 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
4. Exceeding Monthly Cancellation Allowance:
If a student cancels more than two lesson within a single calendar month, regardless of whether they provided more than 24 hours' notice for subsequent cancellations, the student is fully responsible for the lesson bill. No makeup lessons will be provided for any additional cancellations within that month.
5. Makeup Lesson Procedure:
Makeup lessons will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time between the student and the instructor. Makeup lessons are subject to instructor availability.
6. Emergency Situations:
In case of a true emergency or unavoidable circumstances (e.g., illness or extreme weather conditions), exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of Horus Academy. Please notify us as soon as possible in such cases.
7. Notification of Cancellation:
All cancellations must be communicated directly to the instructor or the academy administrative staff through phone or email. Please do not rely solely on verbal communication with your instructor.
8. Rescheduling Lessons:
Lessons can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, subject to instructor availability.
9. Instructor Cancellations:
In the event that an instructor needs to cancel a lesson, every effort will be made to reschedule the lesson at a convenient time for the student. If rescheduling is not possible, the student will receive a credit or refund for the canceled lesson.
