Attendance & Make-up Policy

Effective Date: January 2026

 

1 Student Absences (Private Lessons)

  • If a student misses a scheduled private lesson for any reason, tuition is not adjusted and the lesson is not rescheduled one‑to‑one.

  • The Academy issues one (1) Lesson Credit for each missed private lesson.

2 Lesson Credits

  • Use: Redeem online to book a Saturday Group Make‑Up Class.

  • Expiration: Valid 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Transferability/Cash: Non‑transferable; not redeemable for cash or tuition.

  • Capacity: First‑come, subject to capacity; multiple instrument levels may be combined.

3 Saturday Group Make‑Up Classes

  • Offered every Saturday (published schedule). Sessions may include ensemble skills, supervised practice, theory/ear training, or performance labs.

  • Families self‑book using Lesson Credits in the portal.

4 Teacher Absences / School Cancellations

  • We will provide a substitute where possible, reschedule, or issue a Lesson Credit.

5 Inclement Weather & Holidays

  • Closures follow posted announcements; tuition remains fixed. When feasible, we offer virtual alternatives or Lesson Credits to maintain continuity.

6 Transition Note

  • The prior “24‑hour advance‑notice credit” policy is retired for lessons on/after January 1, 2026.
