  • Contact & Student Info: names, contact details, student age range, instrument, scheduling.

  • Billing Info: last‑4 card digits or masked bank tokens via our processors; we do not store full card/bank numbers on Academy systems.

  • Communications: emails, texts, and call records for service delivery.

  • Website/Portal: device/browser data, usage logs, cookies/analytics (see 4.7).

2 How We Use Information
  • Provide instruction, scheduling, billing, and support.

  • Send essential service messages and (with opt‑in) marketing communications.

  • Maintain safety, security, analytics, and service improvements.

3 Sharing
  • Service Providers/Processors (e.g., website host, lesson management, payment processors such as Stripe/processor used, email/SMS platforms) under contract to process data on our behalf.

  • Required by law (e.g., legal process, safety). We do not sell or rent personal information for marketing.

4 Data Security (Summary)
  • We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonably designed to protect personal information. Where applicable.

  • We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties

  • Sensitive payment data is handled by PCI‑compliant processors; we do not store full card numbers.

5 Breach Notification
  • If we experience a data security incident involving personal information as defined by Massachusetts law and it poses a substantial risk of identity theft or fraud, we will provide notices to affected individuals and state authorities as required.

6 Your Choices & Rights
  • Update your contact information by emailing info@horusacademy.com.

  • Opt out of non‑essential marketing emails/texts at any time; essential service communications may continue.

  • Request access to or deletion of basic account data, subject to legal retention obligations.

7 Cookies & Analytics
  • We use cookies and analytics to operate our site and improve services. You can control cookies through browser settings; some features may not function without them.

8 Children’s Privacy
  • For students under 13, we collect the parent/guardian’s contact details and consent to communicate and manage the account. We do not knowingly collect payment data directly from minors.

9 Retention
  • We retain records for the period necessary to provide services and meet legal/operational requirements, then securely delete or anonymize.

10 Consent
  • By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from us as described in this policy. You have the option to opt-out of promotional communications at any time by contacting us directly.

11 Changes to This Privacy Policy
  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes through our usual communication channels.
